Snake Wars
About This Game
Snake Wars takes the most iconic casual game ever made — Snake — and turns it into a competitive real-time 2-player duel. Two snakes enter the board. Only one leaves.
Both players control their snake simultaneously, eating apples to grow longer and trying to force the opponent into a collision — with the wall, with their own body, or with your snake's body. The match lasts 90 seconds. If neither player has caused the other to crash by the end of the timer, whoever has grown longer wins.
The transition from classic Snake to competitive Snake is significant. When you're playing alone, the goal is to survive and grow. When an opponent is actively trying to cut you off, you need to think about territory control, trap-setting, and predicting their movement patterns. A longer snake is powerful because it takes up more space, but it's also harder to manoeuvre and easier to trap.
The game is easy to understand in thirty seconds and rewards practice over time. Whether you're playing for fun or grinding to maximise wins for promotional traffic, Snake Wars is one of the most popular games on the platform precisely because it's so quick to learn and so deep to master.
Quick Facts

- 5If time runs out, the longer snake wins.
Pro Tips
- Control the centre of the board early — it gives you the most escape routes.
- When you're longer, circle tightly to cut off your opponent's space.
- Watch your opponent's head direction, not their tail — their next move is telegraphed.
- Resist chasing every apple. Position is often worth more than length.
